Corriedale is a reliable, versatile fiber that can be a pleasure to spin, knit or weave.
Medium soft, it has nice long staples, some luster, and well-defined, even crimp, which means that it has a loft and elasticity.
Corriedale makes fantastic sweaters, socks, blankets, pillows and other clothing and household textiles.
Alpaca has a delightful smooth, supple feel, and wide range of natural colors. Alpaca is a strong fiber, and durability is extremely high and it is not elastic.
Getting the right gauge (in knitting or crochet) or sett (in weaving). is critical to te success of a project: too loose and the yarns will move around and droop, too tight and the fabric will be stiff, just right and you'll think you are in heaven.
